I was inspired to pursue law after watching my father, uncle, and grandfather, practice before me. Marks Law Firm is a family business, with three generations of experience behind it. I have lived in Des Moines my whole life, receiving my J.D. from Drake University in 1999, where I now teach several classes. Many of my staff members are Drake University students because of my pride in my alma mater and my dedication to this community.
“The value of an attorney is not measured by the watch on his or her wrist, it’s measured by their ability to obtain results for their clients.”
That’s what I get – results. I’m proud that my office gets those results while remaining inviting, friendly, and supportive. I prioritize client comfort, listening to their unique situation and explaining my plan for their case. In my nineteen years as a lawyer, I’ve helped workers, families, business owners, farmers, and retired individuals alike find a new financial beginning. My favorite thing is taking a complicated case and finding a positive outcome for my client. I see cases like a pile of puzzle pieces that I put together to create a clear picture of success.
